We strive to show the students of Jefferson Elementary how important it is to be an active member in their community. We use the ideals established in our IB attitudes to show that what we do as individuals each and every day impacts others.  Here are just some of the ways our Jaguars are in action and making a difference in the world around us....

The following mini documentary follows six classes of our first graders from Jefferson Elementary as they create a project called Beach Trash, A Whale of a Problem. The students collected beach trash for several weeks and worked with environmental artist Teresa Espaniola to turn it into a life-sized gray whale mosaic, all while learning about the ocean and the role they can play in saving our seas. The trash whale was on display at SEA LIFE Aquarium:
