The attendance hotline is a 24/7 number to report your students' absence or late arrival. If your child is absent, it is important to call the 24-hour Attendance Voice Mail each day your child is absent from school.
When calling the attendance hotline, please provide the following information:
Student's full name
Their teacher's name
Reason for absence
Date of absence
Your name and relationship to student
Providing a reason for your student's absence is required for the absences to be considered excused.
Please call as soon as you aware that the student will be absent. Absences that are not cleared within 24 hours will be treated as unexcused absences.
Even if notify your student's teacher of the absence, you must still contact the school office.
More information on excused and unexcused absences, truancy, and attendance procedures is available at the links below:
If you have questions regarding attendance, please contact our front office.
Please Note: unverified absences will remain on your child’s record as unexcused if we do not hear from you. All students must be on time to school and in their classroom before the bell rings.
To avoid unnecessary interruptions to your child’s teacher and classmates, please make sure your child has everything he or she needs before arriving at school. Calling to remind or dropping off of forgotten items left at home; for example, lunch, instruments, homework, jackets, to name a few, takes away from the teacher’s instructional time and also causes interruptions. Please make sure these types of items are brought to school when the child first arrives. Please also advise your child what they need to do if they forget their lunch; for example, buying lunch instead. Please let them know what they need to do after school and who will be picking them up.
For the security of our students and staff, always sign in and out on the register in the office when coming on campus. It is also important that you wear a visitor badge while on campus, and that it be visible at all times.
